The Club has had a close relationship with Moffitt Cancer Center for more than 20 years. In 2010 we made our first donation of $4,000 to cancer research. Our program has continued to grow since that time. Every fall we hold our "Walk and Roll for A Cure. Residents who sign up for the event begin at the Clubhouse and walk the path around the big lake or ride in golf carts. They return to the Clubhouse for a light breakfast, a raffle and an auction. Each participant receives a t-shirt commemorating the event. Additionally, anyone may buy a banner in memory of a loved one who was lost due to cancer or to celebrate someone who is a cancer survivor. These banners line the walkway around the lake. Seeing the banners is a very moving experience. This awesome event provides research monies to Moffitt and fun and friendship to the participants.
