Moffitt Foundation

Moffitt Cancer Center, located in Tampa, FL, has consistently been ranked as a Top 10 Cancer hospital in the United States, according to US News and World Reports. Moffitt serves patients from all 67 counties in Florida, all 50 states in the US and over 130 countries around the world, giving us a truly international presence. In 2010, Moffitt was invited to partner with the Valencia Lakes West Women’s Club in their annual “Walk for a Cure.” That first year, Moffitt received a check for $4,000. In the years that followed, gifts increased, leading to the amazing 2020 gift amount of $25,000. All total, the VLWWC has contributed nearly $150,000 to cancer research at Moffitt. The importance of these gifts is that they create opportunities for small research projects that in some cases, lead to multi-million-dollar clinical trials…trials that literally save lives. The Moffitt Foundation is proud of our decade long relationship with the VLWWC and we look forward to many more years of partnering in successful fundraising opportunities.
